Understanding Optic Mounting Footprints

An optic footprint is the bolt pattern on the bottom of the red dot. The most common are RMR/Holosun (Trijicon RMR, Holosun 407C/507C), RMSc (Shield, Holosun EPS Carry), and ACRO (Aimpoint ACRO). Your slide must be cut or plated for the matching footprint.
